How We Put Together a Who Make Hub Page

Who Make Hub exists to answer one question people ask surprisingly often: who actually makes this thing? Before anything gets published, we try to trace a product back to the factory, parent company, or licensing arrangement behind it. That sounds simple, but manufacturing is full of rebrands, contract production, and corporate ownership chains, so we treat every entry as a small research project rather than a quick lookup.

Where the Information Comes From

We start with primary sources wherever possible: company filings, press releases, trademark registrations, packaging details, and statements from the brands themselves. When primary sources are thin, we turn to trade publications, industry directories, and reporting from journalists who cover manufacturing and supply chains. We avoid relying on a single forum post or unverified social media claim as the basis for a fact, no matter how confident it sounds.

Writing It Up

Once the research is done, we write plainly. Our goal is for a reader with no background in manufacturing to understand who owns or produces something within a minute of reading. We avoid jargon unless we explain it, and we’re upfront when something is uncertain, disputed, or has changed over time rather than smoothing it into a tidy answer.

Keeping Things Correct

Ownership structures and manufacturing arrangements shift constantly through acquisitions, licensing changes, and factory switches. We periodically revisit older pages to check they still hold up, and we rely on readers to flag anything that looks outdated or wrong. When we get something wrong, we correct it openly and note that a correction was made, rather than quietly editing the page as if nothing happened.

Independence

Who Make Hub isn’t sponsored by the brands or manufacturers we write about, and we don’t accept payment to influence what a page says. If we ever cover something involving a business relationship, we’ll say so clearly. Our editor, Max Stokes, reviews new and existing entries with a plain rule in mind: would this page still hold up if the company we’re describing read it themselves?
