The non-caffeinated carbonated soft drink has a citrusy flavor. Made in 1938, the soft drink company was created by the brand Herb Bishop initially. Herb Bishop invented Squirt Soda (formerly known as Citrus Club) in 1938 after exploring in college.

As a consequence, less juice and sugar were necessary, resulting in the “yummiest, most stimulating flavor in the industry,” according to Bishop. The article covers who makes squirt soda and more.

In an effort to raise attention, a symbol named “Lil’ Squirt” was invented in 1941. In many sections of the nation, particularly the West and Southwest, “Lil’ Squirt” was becoming a famous soft drink. It gained popularity as a cocktail additive in the 1950s.

The Squirt brand has passed through multiple owners and is now owned by the Dr. Pepper Snapple Company.

Green Mountain Coffee Roasters and Keurig Green Mountain were the names of two publicly listed American drink and beverage-maker conglomerates with facilities in Burlington, Massachusetts.

Keurig Dr. Pepper was formed in July 2018 when Keurig Green Mountains and Dr. Pepper Snapple Company (previously Dr. Pepper/7up Inc.) merged to provide over 125 hot and cold drinks. Keurig Dr. Pepper Canada is the company’s Canadian business affiliate.

Previously owned and operated by Herb Bishop, Squirt Soda is now owned by Keurig Dr. Pepper.

FAQ

Is Real Grapefruit Present in Squirt Soda?

Why has Squirt Soda been Named Squirt?

Bishop thought that squirt soda, which he invented, tasted like a piece of grapefruit exploding inside his mouth. This is why Bishop named squirt soda “squirt”.

Does The Manufacturer of Squirt Soda Still Make Diet Squirt?

Diet Squirt has been made into zero sugar squirt which means that it is sold as a new version. Diet squirt has a balanced flavor from grape juice, but it is also diet-friendly besides being sweet.

Do The Ingredients in Squirt Soda Cause Any Health Implications?

Squirt soda has a high percentage of fructose corn syrup in it. Unfortunately, squirt soda is interconnected with obesity. This is because squirt soda has fructose in it, which is similar to table sugar.

Due to the high table sugar content, squirt soda is unhealthy, as it can cause obesity and diabetes. A 20-ounce bottle of Squirt includes 63 g of sugar, which is over twice as much as the typical male and more than twice as much as the ordinary woman should take each day.

Ester Gum is a healthier substitute for brominated vegetable fat, which was formerly used in Squirt and was exceedingly harmful. Since ester gum is healthier, it does not have very serious health implications.

  1. ANYONE WITH INFO PLEASE EMAIL ME.
I found this page while trying to get information on a “Squirt” Go Kart I had when I was a child. It was won at a local store here in Pennsylvania named “Laneco”. It was the grand prize of a raffle the store had to introduce the soda. My friend from school had won it in the early 1980’s. He had no property to make use of it, so my parents bought it for me. It was a gas powered and it had the fiberglass body of yellow truck. I have only one picture of me in it, and I cannot find ANY info online about it even existing!!
I’d like to know more about it.
    HELP!!…. SOMEONE!!
